A list of eligible applicants (in priority order) will be produced for each property advertised. The scheme landlord will check that the applicants details are accurate and up-to-date before any offer is made.
If your name is at the top of the priority list you will normally be invited to view the property, except in certain circumstances (for example, if you have rent arrears or the landlord is taking legal action against you for breaching a tenancy condition). If we are unable to offer the property to the applicant at the top of the list we move to the next applicant on the list and so on.
If you decide to refuse the property it will be offered to the next person on the priority list. You will not normally be penalised for refusing a property and will be able to continue to bid for properties advertised.
If you are offered a property you will not be short listed for other properties until you have decided to either accept or refuse the offer.
If you accept the property you will be advised when you can move in.
When you put in a bid it is very important that you can be contacted quickly. If the contact details you supplied when you registered with the scheme are no longer correct you must contact the council you are registered with and give them your current details. If you successfully apply for a property but cannot be contacted you will lose that property.
You will not be contacted if you are unsuccessful in bidding for a property and should continue bidding and looking at the feedback.
